Wankdorfcity 3: The first Tiny Houses are now occupied

Compact living at the heart of one of Switzerland’s largest urban development projects: with Wankdörfli and its nine Tiny Houses, Wankdorfcity 3 now offers residential accommodation for the first time, marking another important step towards creating a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood. Each of the approximately 22-square-metre houses is located on the roof of the renovated Magazingebäude building and features its own private outdoor space. A shared laundry facility and communal areas complement the compact living concept.

The arrival of the first residents marks the beginning of a new phase for Wankdorfcity 3. What is currently a development site is gradually becoming a neighbourhood where people live, work and connect. By 2029, nearly 500 apartments will be built under the leadership of Immofonds Asset Management AG, alongside a diverse range of facilities for work, education, services and leisure.

Wincasa has been responsible for the site management of Wankdorfcity 3 since July 2026, supporting the neighbourhood throughout its phased development. This also includes community development services designed to connect residents and foster a vibrant neighbourhood from the outset.

“With the first residents moving into Wankdörfli, Wankdorfcity 3 is becoming a place to live for the first time. The first residents are already helping to shape the emerging neighbourhood, long before Wankdorfcity 3 is scheduled for completion in 2029. Their arrival marks a first visible milestone: Wankdorfcity 3 is not only taking shape physically. The neighbourhood is coming to life.
